In April 2005 Green Street Studios entertained an idea I had to produce a curated contemporary dance series in Boston. Critical Moves aims to promote vital work from both emerging and established artists with a geographic focus on Boston and New York. The April 2005 show featured work by Coleman/Freedman, Butoh dancer Zack Fuller, Lacina Coulibaly from Burkina Faso and Nell Breyer. Here's what Boston Herald dance critic Ted Bale had to say about it...
"The standard group repertory show, the most common format in the local dance scene, becomes something quite different in the eyes of curator Alissa Cardone. Friday night’s “Critical Moves” program at Green Street Studios had a coherent thread running through it..."

Achugar
received a 2007 Bessie for choreography and direction and will present
her new work “Franny and Zooey” a formal, yet raw and vulnerable
research into the audiences role as voyeur and the vulnerability inherent
in the act of performance. Achugar's Boston premier is accompanied by
a solo by Lorraine Chapman, new work by Brenda Divelbliss and an improvisation
with live musical accompaniment by Olivier Besson & Liz Roncka.
